- The party began supporting welfare spending programs that targeted the poor in the 1930s. 
-Most civil Libertarians support the democratic party because of the party's stance on civil rights. 
-A large portion of the Democratic base are ethnic minorities. 

Look at your life, Look at your choices.

          As representatives of The Democratic Party, we as a whole believe that Abortion is a difficult moral and legal issue. However, this issue was thoughtfully resolved by the Supreme Court in the Roe v. Wade case in 1973. Legally, laws that prohibit abortion have never actually stopped abortion altogether. Our goal as a unit, as a nation rather, is to eliminate all Abortion Prohibition Laws that exist and allow it to be a completely personal choice. We believe in giving the populous as much freedom as possible, yet still keep them safe. Abortion may be a touchy subject, but ultimately it should be the party(s) decision.

Better Gay Than Grumpy

    The Democratic Party supports equality in families and respects their personal rights, responsibilities and protection under the law. Marriage equality and support between all genders is supported and enforced to have legal equality on their protection under the law. Same sex couples and citizens who are part of gay and lesbian families are also enforced to not be treated differently. In other words, They will get the same treatment in responsibilities and benefits under the nation.  "In our country, marriage has been defined at the state level for 200 years, and we believe it should continue to be defined there". The goal is to bring Americans together - not apart. We can't bring them together if we take away a persons rights as a human based on who they love. Love has no face just feeling.

Introducing the Democratic Party

      The Democratic Party does not want to look at the past of the government, but instead look forward at the change that can occur. Believing that the past was flawed, they wish to see a clear change in the involvement of governmental action and assistance. This political party in particular appeals to people who hold an interest in changes in the central government and country as a whole (i.e. Lower income citizens, younger generations who flaws in how past generations handled situations, etc.). If you are someone who seeks change in your life or the world around you, you are most likely a Democrat. If you are a Democrat, you are awesome.
